AKP Phnom Penh, June 26, 2025 --
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cambodia to Bulgaria, H.E. Dr. Chea Chanboribo, extended a warm welcome to Cambodian cyclist Tiv Dararith at the Turkish-Bulgarian border on June 25.
The ambassador's gesture was a show of support for Tiv Dararith, who is embarking on a cross-European cycling journey to raise funds for children in Cambodia.
Following the border reception, Dararith was invited to the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Sofia for a meal and a much-needed rest before continuing his ambitious ride.
The Embassy is actively coordinating efforts to facilitate his charity tour across the continent.
This marks Dararith’s inaugural cycling expedition across Europe. It follows his successful 2023 cycling tour through Southeast Asia. His current fundraising initiative officially began on June 6, 2024, kicking off at 6:00 a.m. from Angkor Children’s Hospital in Siem Reap.
Tiv Dararith’s campaign aims to generate both awareness and financial support for underprivileged children throughout Cambodia. By K. Rithy Reak
