At 11:00 AM on August 4, 2025, Thai armed forces, accompanied by heavy machinery including excavators, advanced into the An Ses area, which lies within Cambodia’s sovereign territory. Despite strong objections from Cambodian forces, the Thai troops proceeded to deploy and install barriers.

The Cambodian military has made direct contact with the Thai side, urging them to immediately dismantle the installations and withdraw their equipment from Cambodian territory. As of August 5, no removal has taken place, and discussions between both parties are still ongoing.
