Cambodia and Bulgaria Seek to Broaden Bilateral Media Cooperation

On June 17, 2025, Ms. Kristina Teneva, Chief Executive Officer of NOVINATA News Agency of Bulgaria, led a delegation to meet with H.E. Chea Chanboribo, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of Bulgaria, to discuss strengthening media collaboration and cultural exchange between the two nations.
H.E. Chea Chanboribo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Bulgaria, stated that a key highlight of the discussion was a new agreement between the Cambodian Embassy and news agencies AKP (Cambodia) and BTA (Bulgaria), aimed at enhancing information exchange between the two countries.
Both sides discussed strategies for mutual news dissemination to ensure that content reaches audiences in both Cambodia and Bulgaria effectively.
The Ambassador emphasized that this collaboration is vital to the success of media exchange and plays a key role in building mutual understanding and trust. With a shared vision, the two parties outlined steps to deepen cooperation in the fields of media, culture, and business—further strengthening the friendship between Bulgaria and Cambodia.
In addition to media matters, the meeting also focused on opportunities for cultural, tourism, and economic cooperation. The participants explored ways to create market opportunities for Cambodian and Bulgarian products, with the aim of boosting trade and economic growth.
On the occasion, Ms. Kristina Teneva expressed her interest in establishing a stable information-sharing platform to facilitate deeper and richer media exchanges between the two countries, reinforcing bilateral cooperation across all sectors, particularly in delivering news and information to the peoples of both nations.
