Cambodia Expects to Welcome 7.5 Million Air Passengers in 2025

Cambodia will do her best to attract some 7.5 million air passengers in 2025, an expected 20 percent increase compared to 2024, H.E. Dr. Mao Havannall, Minister in Charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), said Wednesday.
At the same time, he continued, Cambodia's international airports are projected to handle up to 80,000 tonnes of air cargo.
“Air transport has been playing a vital role in promoting Cambodia's tourism, business, trade, and socio-cultural connectivity with the world," H.E. Dr. Mao Havannall said while presiding over the closing ceremony of the SSCA annual meeting, held here at the Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.
According to the minister, Cambodia currently offers direct flights to 12 countries and regions.
He added that 31 international and domestic airlines operated a total of 58,354 flights to the Kingdom's three international airports in 2024, a 14 percent year-on-year increase.
H.E. Dr. Mao Havannall underlined that Cambodia also saw a 40 percent increase in air cargo volume, reaching 77,800 tonnes last year.
