Cambodian and Ivoirian PMs Agree to Foster Bilateral Cooperation

The Prime Ministers of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire have agreed to continue exploring opportunities to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation across various sectors for the mutual benefit of their peoples and nations.

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet met with H.E. Robert Beugré Mambé, Prime Minister of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, on the sidelines of the Third United Nations Ocean Conference held this morning in Nice, France (local time).

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet highlighted shared economic characteristics between the two countries and extended an invitation to his Ivoirian counterpart to visit Cambodia at a mutually convenient time. He also encouraged H.E. Robert Beugré Mambé to consider attending the 20th Francophonie Summit, which Cambodia will host in 2026 in Siem Reap province.

Furthermore, the Cambodian Premier recalled H.E. Mambé’s previous visit to Phnom Penh for the 39th General Assembly of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF) at the end of 2019.

In response, Prime Minister Mambé expressed his intention to undertake an official visit to Cambodia and participate in the 2026 Francophonie Summit, which will offer a valuable opportunity to further bilateral dialogue and deepen ties between the two countries.

H.E. Mambé also commended the leadership of Samdech Thipadei, noting his ongoing efforts in maintaining peace, stability, and development across all sectors in Cambodia.

The two leaders exchanged views on several areas of potential cooperation, particularly in the industrial and agricultural sectors. He pledged to dispatch his Minister of Industry on a working visit to Cambodia to assess opportunities for developing a joint manufacturing base.
