Cambodian Ministers Hold a Preparatory Meeting for FrancoTech Event Ahead of 2026 Francophonie Summit.

Cambodian ministers convened today to lead preparations for the FrancoTech event, a key initiative set to accompany the 20th Francophonie Summit, which Cambodia will host in 2026.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, H.E. Chea Vandeth, and Minister of Women’s Affairs, H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, co-chaired the strategic planning session. They provided overarching guidance to ensure the event's success and its alignment with the summit's broader objectives.

The FrancoTech event is designed to showcase technological innovation and digital advancement across the Francophone world. Its core themes will include youth engagement, women’s empowerment in the tech sector, and the development of sustainable technology solutions.

The preparatory meeting, held at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, included representatives from key ministries and institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation, and the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).
