AKP Phnom Penh, June 18, 2025 --
Tens of thousands of Cambodians from all walks of life gathered this morning at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh for a Solidarity March to express their unity with the Royal Government’s efforts on border resolution and to show encouragement for frontline troops.
Organised by the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC), the march is set to begin at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre and conclude at the Independence Monument, where a grand ceremony will be held.
Prior to the start of the march, recent messages and statements from Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet were replayed on screen.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Cambodia Scouts’ Extraordinary Congress yesterday, Prime Minister Hun Manet underscored that the march aims to demonstrate the strong unity between the Cambodian people and the nation's frontline forces. He also emphasised the importance of showing moral support to the troops stationed along the borders, who are defending the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. By C. Nika
