CMAC Confirms Thai F-16s Dropped MK-82 Bombs on Ta Moan Senchey Pagoda

(Oddar Meanchey): The Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) confirmed that Thai F-16 fighter jets dropped MK-82 guided bombs on Ta Moan Senchey Pagoda during an airstrike on 24 July 2025, which destroyed the compound and killed a Buddhist priest.


According to CMAC Director General Heng Ratana, CMAC’s bomb experts confirmed that the pagoda was struck by the Thai Air Force using F-16 jets armed with MK-82 bombs equipped with GBU-12 Payway II guidance systems. Evidence recovered includes fragments from two MK-82 bombs, bearing serial numbers 22002788 and 22002794, both manufactured in January 2023.
