Heavy Weapons Fire Destroys Hospital in Oddar Meanchey

ODDAR MEANCHEY — Sen Monorom I and II Hospital, a critical medical facility serving villagers from Sen Monorom I and II, was destroyed by heavy weapons fired by the Thai military.

The hospital sustained only minimal damage during the first round of fighting in July. During a second round of clashes, from December 8 through December 27, repeated bombardment struck the hospital buildings, destroying medical equipment, punching large and small holes through the walls, and collapsing parts of the roofs.
