MOC-MISTI-KIPO Sign 2025-2027 IP Action Plan in Seoul

Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC) and Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI), together with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), have signed a trilateral cooperation agreement on the 2025-2027 Intellectual Property (IP) Action Plan to strengthen IP implementation in Cambodia.
The agreement was inked by H.E. Ouk Prachea, Secretary of State for the MOC; H.E. Phork Sovanrith, Secretary of State for the MISTI; and Dr. Kim Wan-ki, Head of KIPO, during a High-Level Meeting on Monday at Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Seoul, Republic of Korea (ROK). The event was held on the sidelines of the 8th ROK-ASEAN Heads of IP Offices Meeting from Sept. 1 to 3.
According to the MOC, the High-Level Meeting focused on KIPO’s proposed action plan, to be jointly implemented with the MOC and MISTI. The cooperation covers legal frameworks, procedures, and innovation initiatives.
Key areas include IP training and protection, patents and industrial designs, trademarks, IP awareness raising, promotion of Cambodian geographical indication (GI) products, and brand building.
