The strikes, which reached as far as 80 to 90 kilometers inside Cambodian territory, mark one of the deepest cross-border incursions in years and underscore the rapid escalation of the conflict.

Thai military shelling and airstrikes have penetrated as far as 80 to 90 kilometers inside Cambodian territory, hitting villages and civilian population centers, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement issued Thursday.
The ministry accused Thailand of escalating its breaches of the ceasefire and violating international law since renewed fighting began on December 7.
“…Thailand’s intensified shelling and F-16 air strikes targeting villages and civilian population centers up to 80-90km inside Cambodian territory,” the Ministry of Interior said in the statement.
The Interior Ministry said the intensified attacks - including F-16 airstrikes - have caused “serious impacts on the safety of civilian populations, civilian areas, and civilian infrastructure,” while disrupting essential public services across multiple provinces.
The escalating Cambodia - Thailand border conflict has left 11 Cambodian civilians dead, including a baby, and 74 injured, authorities said.
Thailand’s toll, reported by Khaosod English, stands at nine soldiers killed, 120 injured, and three civilian deaths. Hundreds of thousands have been evacuated on both sides of the border.
