Thai Military Shells Battambang; One Civilian Injured

The Ministry of Defence reported on December twenty-second that the Thai military fired one-hundred-fifty-five millimeter artillery shells into Battambang Province, injuring one civilian.
Between six twenty-five a.m. and six thirty-five a.m., Thai forces fired five one-hundred-fifty-five millimeter shells into the area of Phnom Proek Commune, and two additional shells into O’ Choat Village, Baraing Thlaek Commune, Phnom Proek District.
Later, from eight forty a.m. to nine thirty a.m., five more one-hundred-fifty-five millimeter artillery shells were fired into Kilo Nine Village, Chrey Seima Commune, Sampov Loun District.
According to preliminary information from local authorities, one civilian was injured as a result of the shelling,the ministry said.
