During this event, it is observed that the sun rises from the central peak of Angkor Wat. This phenomenon showcases the incredible architectural brilliance of the ancient Khmer temples, demonstrating the advanced skills and deep astronomical knowledge of the Khmer ancestors.

The best spot to witness this event is near the reflection pond in front of Angkor Wat. This area offers a breathtaking view of the temple's reflection on the water as the sun rises behind it.
