Beyond the violent violation of Cambodia’s sovereignty, Thai military forces advanced into Thmor Da Commune, unlawfully entering the homes and places of livelihood of Khmer civilians. These actions were not directed at armed opponents, but at innocent families—men, women, and children—who were simply trying to live their daily lives in peace.

Normal life was replaced by fear as civilians were terrorized and their sense of security was shattered. Homes were violated, livelihoods disrupted, and entire communities left traumatized. Such behavior does not reflect the standards of a lawful or professional military force. Instead, it resembled the actions of looters, spreading fear and destruction among defenseless people.

These events raise serious concerns regarding respect for national sovereignty, human rights, and the protection of civilians. Cambodia calls for accountability, restraint, and strict adherence to international norms to prevent further suffering and to preserve peace and stability in the region.

This is not only a matter of borders—it is a matter of human dignity.
